NEW TO BITCLOUT? — HERE IS EVERYTHING YOU NEED TO KNOW TO GET STARTED
Bitclout is a de-centralized online community based crypto platform, that allows creators and their supporters to interact, promote themselves, and invest!
Whats unique is fans can invest people (digital artists, musicians, actors etc), which supports them — and everyone who holds a creator coin gets to participate on the upside.
It’s basically investing in people, instead of stocks!!
BitClout is such a positive community. We all need each other to grow.
I expect BitClout to stay a relatively positive place. Sure there will be some bad apples, always are. But because we all want the platform to succeed, and your reputation is tied to your financial success, I’d expect it to stay a pretty happy place!
You can use this platform passively but you’ll see see the greatest return when you provide value & engage with other users. Comment on posts, message others, follow as many people as possible, share ideas etc. This platform is too early to have an ego.
3 THINGS YOU NEED TO KNOW BEFORE YOU SIGN UP FOR BITCLOUT
1. DO NOT LOSE YOUR PHRASE
You will be given a phrase of a random bunch of words in a specific order and this is your only way to log in. Screenshot it, copy and paste it into your notes, write it down on two pieces of paper and store them in different places in your house, literally anything you have to do, do it, and DO NOT LOSE IT!
If you lose it, there is no way to recover it. You will have to change your user name on current account (if you haven’t been logged out) and then make a new account. Only way.
2. FOUNDER REWARDS
Set your FR to 99% when you sign up to avoid bots buying up your coin before you can. Then make sure to buy some of your own CC, lower the FR to accommodate your strategy, and have fun!
3. CREATOR COIN
Your CC price is going to fluctuate A LOT in your initial sign up for several reasons. Don’t worry too much about it initially. Make sure to buy some of your own CC before someone else does.

FOUNDERS REWARD %
Everything you need to know about FR% (that I know).
This can be found in your profile and you can update it and change it at any time in the ‘update profile ’ tab on your profile page.
It is the % you make off of every investors investment into you.
Setting it too high will discourage other creators to invest in you. But because of that you can use it to your advantage.
Setting it high initially (99%) will discourage bots from buying up all of your CC (creator coin) and give you to opportunity to buy your own.
After you have bought your own CC, update your profile and lower your FR% to now accommodate your strategy.
The default is 10% and I think anywhere from 5–15% is a good place to stay.
Lowering it for periods of time to encourage investors is a great way to gain investments!
CREATOR COIN
Your CC (creator coin) is unique to you.
This will go up based on a number of factors, the main contributors are actual investments, and engagement.
BONUS CC TIP — Since engagement drives up CC, selling while someone is active (and their CC is high) can sometimes be very lucrative. BUT this can also be a rookie mistake and you may regret selling too early, since this is still so new and everyone will continue to keep going up!
I am holding on to most of my initial investment, I feel like every investment I made is a lottery ticket, and it’s too soon to check if it’s a winner!
BUYING YOUR OWN CC (creator coin)
Here’s what you need to know, buying your own CC first, gets you in at the lowest price — HoDL! If selling your CC know that your investors will get notified and could decide to sell you too. Reinvesting consistently keeps your CC stable.
If someone else holds a lot of your CC and more then you do, then if they decide to sell all of yours one day (dump you), your CC value will dramatically drop. This isn’t something I would be too worried about. When you are low its gives new inventors another chance to get in at a lower price, and give current investors a chance to buy more.
Additionally, eventually BitClout is going to stabilize and your CC will consistently grow organically and stable.
HOW TO INCREASE YOUR CREATOR COIN
Engagement, engagement, engagement. It’s about creating authentic, helpful, relevant information and bringing value to the platform. Find likeminded creators and grow together, support your followers and invest in your investors!
HOW TO PICK WHO TO INVEST IN?
It’s a combination:
1. New accounts with low CC, make sure they are active and you believe in their ability to grow
2. Big accounts, this is just the beginning and we are all in early!
3. Likeminded people to ride this wave with!
TIP: Click on a “Followers” in a creator’s profile to see not only who follows them but who they follow.

I don’t even think it’s a bad strategy, but I believe in the slow game here. I invest in people I believe in and am excited about working together to get us all to the moon!

Stay vigilant.
- Confirm the account you’re investing in is verified.
- Check for tweets (keep an eye out for fake twitters)

It’s hard, sometimes you have to take a risk. I’ve had some pay off BIG and others flop. But one red flag for sure is if a verified creator doesn’t hold any of their own CC.
